we pulled over for a couple of icy longnecks. we moved sleeping ev from car to table just like that!
What I love most about summer with children is the dismissal of routines and schedules. Yet, as much as I prefer rythm to regiment, the rest of the year will demand my unwilling attention to timetables. I suppose the rythm of summer wouldn’t feel so harmonious if it wasn’t for the year’s routine of work and school to welcome such a reprieve.
Either way, goodbye to mornings by the sea, naps in the car or the carseat (photo), snacks in the trunk, night walks on the beach or whatever else the moment demands and hello to the next season of growth and achievement in prelude to another summer!
